The release date for the 38x optical zoom camera Nikon COOLPIX L840 is February 26, and is the first new zoomcam in 2015. The pre-order price is already down a little from $299 to $296 before launch:
This cheap zoom camera have both black and red color options on the exterior, which is typical for some of the Nikon top models, and they both cost the same. A purple edition will be added later in 2015.
The main specs for the Nikon COOLPIX L840 zoom camera are a high-quality Nikon (NIKKOR) lens with a 16.76MP sensor that outputs 4608 x 3456 images, Full HD 1080p video recording at up to 60fps, 38x optical zoom with optical image stabilization so you can actually use that zoom lens steadily (4.0-152mm (equivalent to that of 22.5-855mm lens in 35mm  format)), it has a 3-inch LCD display on the back that can tilt even, both Wi-Fi and NFC for connecting memory cards and the camera to your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
It can take 7.4 pictures pr. second, and can shoot at 6400 ISO, while the lens f. number is f/3-6.5, as for focus it has Center, Face priority, Manual with 99 focus areas, Subject tracking, and Target Finding AF modes.
