The Lumix S5IIX price for just the body is $2199, while a combo with a 20-60mm kit lens is $2499, which in my opinion seems reasonable compared to other DSLR cameras from Sony, Nikon, and Canon.

If every video clip on the internet would be shot with this camera in 2023, we would all be in for a very pleasant viewing experience this year.

But since that’s (unfortunately) not going to be the case, the newest Lumix DSLR will instead give the buyers some advantages in their photography and videography that others won’t have

For me the highlights are the most advanced image stabilization system on the market in 2023 that gives a more natural flow than a gimball, phase detection autofocus, finally a good auto focus during filming (take notes camera crew from Discovery), especially combined with autofocus tracking, unlimited recording time, and what Lumix calls true hybrid photo-video, which so far has left something to be desired on DSLR’s.

I would love to see a movie shot entirely with this 5.8K camera, and can’t wait to see what will have been filmed with by the end of 2023.

As a DSLR compatible with the lenses from L Mount Alliance, movies and videos can be shot on a smaller budget than before too, especially with some of the newest delightful Sigma lenses.
