Google announced new hardware today during their ‘Made by Google 2026’ event, where we got to see upgraded versions of the new 2026-2027 line of smartphones, foldables, smart watches, and tracking devices. Pixel 11 Pro Fold
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is Google’s new foldable phone and is approximately 10% lighter and 1mm thinner than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It retains an IP68 rating and introduces a gearless hinge, a glass-fiber-composite back and a ceramic-cover outer display. Google says the combination makes it three times more durable than the previous generation. Both displays reach 3,600 nits, and Google says they are 20% brighter than those on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The phone has 16GB of RAM and is powered by Tensor G6.

The Fold includes a new 48MP main camera and a telephoto camera with up to 30x Super Zoom. HiLight provides LED notifications around the camera flash, while fold-specific software supports features such as Drag and Drop, Split Screen and app bubbles. Google is also introducing sign-to-text translation, allowing American Sign Language captured by the front camera to be translated onto the outer display. Battery life is rated at more than 24 hours; wired charging reaches 50% in about 30 minutes at 30W, while built-in Qi2.2 wireless charging supports up to 25W.

Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL
The Pixel 11 series consists of the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL. All three use Google’s new Tensor G6 processor, start at 256GB of storage and feature redesigned hardware with a thinner camera bar. The Pixel 11 has a new 48MP main camera with 56% greater light sensitivity than the Pixel 10 and a 5x telephoto capable of 30x Super Zoom. The Pro models add new main-camera sensors, a redesigned 48MP telephoto with 30% greater light sensitivity, 5x Portrait Mode and up to 120x Pro Zoom. The Pro and Pro XL have Super Actua displays reaching up to 3,600 nits.

Tensor G6 is paired with the latest Gemini Nano model and includes an upgraded CPU, 50% more TPU compute and Google’s Titan M3 security chip. Google says the CPU delivers 25% faster web browsing and 15% faster app launches than Tensor G5, while on-device AI tasks can run up to 3.5 times faster using up to 3.5 times less energy. Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL also introduce HiLight, a set of LEDs around the camera flash that provides visual notifications while the phone is face down. All three support Pixelsnap, with Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro adding 25W Qi2.2. wireless charging. Prices start at $899 for Pixel 11, $1,099 for Pixel 11 Pro and $1,299 for Pixel 11 Pro XL.

Pixel Watch 5
Pixel Watch 5 is available in 41mm and 45mm sizes and has a 3,000-nit domed Actua 360 display. It uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated processor and a dual-chip architecture, with 50% more RAM and a 12% CPU boost compared with Pixel Watch 4; Google describes it as 20% faster overall. Battery life is rated at up to 30 hours for the 41mm model and 40 hours for the 45mm model. The watch also introduces new case colors, watch faces and complications, as well as a Stephen Curry Special Edition.

The main changes are in software, AI, fitness and health tracking. Gemini can perform actions directly from the wrist, including launching workouts and retrieving information, while Proactive Suggestions can surface relevant information from services such as Calendar. Google says GPS route accuracy is twice that of previous generations, and Google Health Coach provides adaptive workout and recovery recommendations. Health Guardian adds breathing-emergency detection, which can automatically contact emergency services if a severe oxygen-saturation drop is detected and the wearer is unresponsive, plus monthly trend summaries for blood pressure, sleep-breathing quality and insulin resistance. The watch starts at $399 for 41mm and $429 for 45mm.

Google Pixel Tag
Pixel Tag is Google’s first dedicated item finder. It is a small, stainless-steel tracker with an IP67 water- and dust-resistance rating, an integrated speaker and a user-replaceable battery rated for up to one year. A button on the tag can also be used to make a connected phone ring. Setup uses Fast Pair with compatible Android devices running Android 9 or later.

The tag uses Google’s Find Hub network to locate items on a map, with Bluetooth-based ringing when nearby and Ultra-Wideband plus Bluetooth Channel Sounding for precision finding with directional and distance guidance. Left Behind alerts can warn users when they leave an item behind, while the wider Find Hub network can help locate tags outside Bluetooth range. Google says the network contains more than one billion Android devices and uses end-to-end encrypted location information. Pixel Tag can be shared with up to 10 people and can also be located through Pixel Watch or by asking Gemini via Pixel Buds.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Buds 2a
Google didn’t introduce a new generation of its earbuds at the event today, but it announced new features for Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Buds 2a. Pixel Buds Pro 2 also get a new Olive finish. The Pro 2 gains Dynamic ANC, which adjusts noise cancellation when the earbud seal changes, and Gemini audio controls that allow settings such as bass level to be changed through voice commands.

The earbuds also gain integration with Pixel Watch for sleep-related automation: when the watch detects that the wearer has fallen asleep, it can pause music, disable touch controls and silence notifications. Live Translate is being upgraded to support conversations involving more than 70 languages, with the earbuds used to trigger listening mode and the Pixel phone providing translated speech to the other participant. Google says these software updates begin rolling out in September.

One Google product that’s yet to be fully unveiled for the 2026-2027 model year though is the upcoming new laptop series ‘Googlebook’ which is supposed to launch in autumn sometime.
