The Lego smart tech is called Lego Smart Play, which consists of Lego Smart Bricks, Lego Smart Minifigures, and Lego Smart Tags.
The Smart Brick is equipped with LED and miniature speakers with a synthesizer that can create an infinite range of new sounds and effects.

We then have the Smart Minifigures which are the familiar figures, but now with interactive and responsive tech inside them, while the Smart Tags creates different environments.

Lego Smart Brick makes different sounds and lights with great variations, all based on how the brick moves since it’s equipped with sensors such as accelerometer, light sensor, and a sound sensor.
It even has location sensing capabilities, which sense the distance between the Smart Brick and other Smart Lego objects, so it will make different sounds or behave differently, based on how it’s played with. And that makes it pretty innovative.

This new Lego tech is charged through the yellow wireless charger.

Three Lego Smart sets will be released first, starting with new Star Wars Lego, which will contain up to 2 Smart Bricks, 3 Smart Minifigures (Luke Skywalker, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader), and 5 Smart Tags ( A-wing, throne, Death Star turret, and two Lightsabers).

The price starts from $69 for these Lego sets, and it will start taking preorders on January 9.
