Bluetooth speakers are so 2025, so JBL’s newest wireless speakers are of course Wi-Fi speakers.
JBL Cove M1
The JBL Cove M1 is the compact model in the range, designed for everyday listening in different rooms of the house with a decent 110 watt output. It can be used on its own, as a stereo pair, or within a Wi-Fi multiroom audio system, with simplified three-step setup and control via the JBL One app.
Technically, the M1 features a 2-way acoustic design and benefits from Automatic Self-Tuning, which automatically optimizes the sound based on its placement, as well as Constant Sound Field for consistent sound distribution. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz Connect. Dolby Atmos is not supported at launch.

JBL Cove P1
The JBL Cove P1 is the portable model in the series, combining battery operation with integration into the Cove multiroom audio system. It can be used independently, as a stereo pair, or integrated into a multi-speaker system, controlled via JBL One and featuring Music Follows Me for easy playback from room to room.
Technically, the P1 also uses a 2-way design and incorporates Automatic Self-Tuning, Constant Sound Field, and AI Sound Boost, which aims to limit distortion at high volumes from the 120W speaker. It supports Dolby Atmos, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz Connect.
JBL Cove X1
The JBL Cove X1 is the flagship model in the family with 200W power. It is designed to produce a fuller sound in the room and can operate on its own, as a stereo pair, or as part of a multi-room system. It is also designed to integrate with JBL Bar Series MK2 soundbars for a complete home theater setup.
The X1 stands out with its acoustic configuration featuring four tweeters and two woofers, combined with a 2-way architecture, Dolby Atmos, Constant Sound Field, and Automatic Self-Tuning. AI Sound Boost reduces distortion at high volumes. Like other models, it features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz Connect.
