This camera had been expected for a couple of months ahead of the unveiling, but after Nikon unveiled their own pro-looking mirrorless just weeks ago, Canon had to get theirs out quickly too. Though some of the specs are higher on the Canon EOS R than on Nikon’s, as well as larger lens selection at launch. Not to mention the 30MP sensor.
