Apple iPhone Duo – Apple’s first foldable release October 23
Apple finally let the cat out of the bag today and unveiled their first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo as a foldable iPhone with a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR folding display and a 5.4-inch outer Super Retina XDR display. Compared to other foldables, the price isn’t outrageous, as the 256GB entry model starts at $1999, and pre-orders begin October 16 and availability begins October 23.
Both displays support ProMotion, Always-On functionality, and Dynamic Island, and Apple shows how users can use it even as a table clock when folded.
The device uses an A20 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a dual 16-core Neural Engine. Its construction includes a titanium frame and hinge cover, and it supports multiple folded positions and reimagined iOS experiences.
